Southport Services Group Names New Managing Consultant
BI Consulting Veteran to Direct Northeast Consulting Practice

Herndon, VA, March 31, 2008 -- Southport Services Group, a management and IT consulting company specializing in business intelligence, announced today the addition of Ms. Jacquie Meriwether to its leadership team.  In this role, Ms. Meriwether will be responsible for managing Southport's consulting activity in the Northeast region of the country, working with existing and future clients to deliver top-notch business intelligence strategy and execution.

Ms. Meriwether brings to the company extensive experience in project management, project architecture, design, data modeling, best practices, performance tuning, and usability.  Prior to joining Southport, she held a variety of consulting, training, and management positions at MicroStrategy, Freddie Mac, Geico, and the US Postal Service.  While at Geico, Ms. Meriwether played a critical role in launching their enterprise data warehouse and award-winning reporting initiatives.  At US Postal Service, she led management through the implementation of its first executive dashboard, a multifaceted project that has given decision makers visibility in to their operations so that they may analyze mail processing and monitor efficiencies and breakdowns.
